Rabbit Hill

The new location for Tagcon Midwest 2002!
Rabbit Hill is the home of my brother Steve Baker, his wife Janet, and 4 kids. It's about 45 acres located north of Battle Ground, Indiana.
It has been a playing field of the Lafayette Lasers for many years. It is also a great location for parties- what a great combination!

Here are some of the advantages of Rabbit Hill:

Beautiful 2 acre meadow for parking, camping, eating, etc. Click here for video. (1.4 megs)
Gazebo, picnic tables
Running water
Electricity
Outhouse
Refrigerator in the Gazebo
Hog roaster, can be used as big grill
BIG fire pit - Click here for video of Kevin practicing for the fire jump! (0.7 meg)
Water balloon launchers

But what about the playing field? Here are some pictures! (Click to enlarge)

This creek runs right thru the middle of our playing field!

Peek-a-Boo!

Forest, creek is 400' ahead

Creek ends at the Tippecanoe river.
South edge of field is on the river.

Because of the great hospitality of Steve and Janet, Attendance to Tagcon will be FREE!! That's a whole 15 bucks cheaper than a $15 entrance fee!
We also will have a food package, including meals for the weekend. Or, you can hop into town for a bite. Where else do you get this many options?!

There are several good locations for the W0W Tagcon ham radio Special Event station, which will be operated by Duane and Nancy Mantick, Tom Baker and Kevin McDonald.

*Footnote: The name Rabbit Hill comes from the book, Rabbit Hill. My folks had just read the book before purchasing this land. The name seemed very appropriate, them being the "new people" out there. They've since sold the land to Steve and family.
