TagCon 2003 Rules

Equipment Rules:

  1. Individual player gear must be Worlds of Wonder compatible
  2. Tethered gear, such as Electronic Survivor Shot, is preferred
  3. Sensors should take 6 hits at approximately 1.2s between hits before being tagged out.
  4. Sensors must take hits from at least 2.5 meters (8 ft 3 inches) in direct sunlight from a StarLyte pistol with the lens removed
  5. Sensor must make a sound when dead
  6. Sensors must include a 360 degree head-mounted detectors. It is ok to use a gun mounted sensor along with the head mounted sensors as long as they have the same counting circuit.
  7. Gun must make a sound when fired
  8. FRS radios are allowed, but FRS channel 6 is reserved for administrative/emergency use
  9. GRMS radios are allowed if the user has an appropriate FCC license. Proof will be required when you show up.
  10. Heavy weapons such as grenades, mortars, rocket launchers, vehicles, etc need to be approved before use. Contact us on the TagCon Mailing List for approval. Rules will be covered under individual mission briefing

 

Play Rules:

  1. All players are expected to abide by the spirit of these rules, and are expected to play in a safe, responsible, and respectful manner.
  2. All referee decisions are final
  3. No physical contact between people or equipment. Physical contact will result in immediate ejection of both offenders from the game.
  4. No climbing trees or other structures (cars, tents, buildings, etc) or entering structures not explicitly in play
  5. In case of injury (real or apparent), game play will be suspended until the situation is resolved
  6. When tagged out the player must yell "I'm out!", and proceed immediately and silently to the dead zone with their gun raised above their heads
  7. Just pat the top of your head if someone asks if you are out. Do not answer verbally.
  8. Once you indicate you are out, you are out.
  9. A sensor must be shown towards your target while firing
  10. Only cross the main road at the marked safe crossing zone. Players will not fire into or out of the safe zones or from the road. Violation will result in immediate ejection from the game.
